Define the campaign
Write the intended audience, purpose and planned release period. Describe the action the campaign invites and where a person will go after selecting it. Keep the review focused on a specific version so the approval can be connected to the material actually released.
For practice, use a fictional campaign promoting an event-page design service. The intended next step is to read a service description and request a discussion. It is not a promise that every visitor will become a client.
Check the message and evidence
Read the headline and supporting text together. Confirm that factual claims have appropriate evidence and that qualifications are visible. Remove invented testimonials or unsupported performance claims. Google’s helpful-content guidance provides a useful background for reviewing reliability.
Check images and descriptions for accuracy and relevance. Identify permissions or approvals that require review through the appropriate process. This checklist is a planning aid, not a substitute for specialist review where a campaign requires it.
Follow the visitor route
Open the destination and check the intended task on relevant devices. Confirm that the information matches the campaign and that the next step is clear. Record a broken route or unclear instruction before release instead of assuming that a polished image is enough.
Assign someone to check the response route and handle questions. If a campaign uses forms or tracking, follow approved privacy and consent procedures. Use fictional information for practice and keep private contacts out of the exercise record.
Record release readiness
Download the PDF or Word checklist. Mark the checks completed, work needed and areas outside scope. Record the approving person, remaining actions and a review date. Recheck relevant material after a change.
The record should make the release decision understandable to another person. Agree what would prompt a pause or correction. A readiness review can identify practical issues; it does not guarantee enquiries, sales or audience growth.
Source and practice note
The official guidance provides background. Examples, exercises and record layouts are original RDE learning material. Use fictional details for practice and follow your organisation’s approval and information-handling procedures.
