AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Prepare for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through an RDE certification-preparation route covering AWS Cloud concepts, security, core services, cloud economics and support, with the official AWS exam booked separately by the candidate.

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a foundational AWS certification for people who want to demonstrate broad knowledge of the AWS Cloud, independent of a specific technical job role. RDE offers this as a certification-preparation route aligned to the current AWS assessment objectives.

What the preparation covers

The route develops understanding of cloud concepts, the value of the AWS Cloud, core AWS services and technology, security and compliance, the shared responsibility model, cloud economics, billing, pricing and support. It is intended to build the knowledge needed to approach the current AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner examination with a structured foundation.

Exam and certification

RDE does not currently include an AWS exam voucher with this preparation route. Candidates register for and pay for the official AWS examination separately through AWS's current authorised exam-booking process. AWS awards the certification only after the candidate successfully satisfies the applicable examination requirements.

Who this route is for

This route is suitable for career starters, career changers, business and digital professionals, project and product practitioners, and technical learners who want an AWS foundation before progressing to role-based cloud certifications.

Entry guidance

This is a foundation route for people new to cloud, including learners without an IT background. Previous cloud experience is not required.

Practical preparation

Compare cloud and on-premises responsibilities, outline a simple cloud use case and explain its security and cost considerations. These are suggested practice activities. RDE will confirm the preparation format and any available lab access before enrolment.

Assessment format

The current CLF-C02 assessment has 65 questions and 90 minutes. Questions use multiple-choice and multiple-response formats. Check the current AWS booking page for test-centre or online-proctored delivery and identification requirements.

Validity and renewal

The credential is valid for three years. AWS lists renewal through the current Cloud Practitioner exam, an Associate or Professional exam, or its Cloud Quest recertification option. Check eligibility before choosing a route. Check the official policy for current eligibility and subscription requirements.

Career development

Combine certification preparation with practical evidence and relevant experience. Discuss your current skills and target role with RDE when selecting a route.
